Tell us what failed last time
The most useful sentence in any enquiry, and the one we get least often.
Cordex
Most enquiries arrive as a temperature range and a diameter. Those two numbers narrow the range to about half of it, which is not much help.
The sentence that does the work
“The last sleeve went at the pivot after two seasons, and it looked polished rather than cut.”
That tells us it is an abrasion problem rather than a thermal one, that it is localised at a movement point, and that the failure mode is rubbing rather than shearing. It moves the answer from five candidate products to one, plus a suggestion to add a sacrificial wrap at the pivot.
What we will ask you
Temperature, movement, media, the standard you are audited against, and what failed last time. The fifth is worth more than the other four together.
