Reading an abrasion class
Class 4 is a band four thousand cycles wide. Here is how to find out where in it a product actually sits.

ISO 6722-1 Class 4 covers 4,000 to 14,999 scrape cycles. A product at 4,100 cycles and a product at 14,800 cycles carry the same class on the datasheet and differ by nearly four times in life.
Ask two questions
First: how many cycles, not what class. Second: against which test cable — the result scales strongly with the conductor size and insulation the sleeve was tested against.
A supplier who can answer both in a day is testing. One who can only give you the class is quoting someone else’s certificate.
What we publish
Cycle counts and test cable, on request, for every product in the range. We do not put them on the product pages because a raw cycle count invites comparison against numbers generated on a different cable, which is worse than no number at all.
