Detail
Rail is the only sector in the range where fire performance leads the specification. HL3 is the highest hazard level in EN 45545-2 and it constrains the base polymer before any other property gets a say.
What that costs
An HL3-compliant formulation abrades faster than the automotive grades. Flexrun RX is deliberately not the toughest product we make, because on rolling stock that is the correct trade and we would rather say so than sell you the wrong sleeve.
